Indian International Institute for Art Therapy and Research (IiiART) together with the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy (CiiAT) will offer an experiential workshop based on Lucille’s work. Lucille is an expert in the field of Art Therapy and Attachment Theory.


Now 87 years old, Lucille Proulx has been an artist and art therapist for more than five decades and is a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is the Executive Director of the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy, and the Proulx Global Education and Community Foundation.

She is also the Executive Director of the International Program of Art Therapy in Thailand (IPATT) and the Japan International Program of Art Therapy (JIPAT). Seventeen years ago, she published a book with Jesica Kingsley Publishers Ltd, "Strengthening Emotional Ties through Parent-Child-Dyad Art Therapy," which describes an interesting and innovative art therapy approach. Since that time, she has experienced continued success in her professional work.

Lucille Proulx's new book "Attachment Informed Art Therapy: Strengthening Emotional Ties Throughout the Lifetime" is now available on Amazon.

“Art Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mental Health” is an introductory workshop exploring possibilities for a serious career in art therapy. 

Participants will:

1) Learn the concepts related to attachment theory that are useful to a career in art therapy.

2) Identify personal strengths that would be useful in developing a career in art therapy. 

3) Be able to describe approaches to best practices in mental health professions such as art therapy
4) Get connected to ongoing resources of ideas, guidance, and professional courses

5) Be a part of creating change with Indian higher education in art therapy.

6) Gain entry level support and knowledge for upcoming diploma and certificate course in art therapy offered by IiiART
